Composer Dylan Jones has posted another track from his new album, Cycle, on SoundCloud. This one features my vocals.
I’ve started a new habit of filming myself improvising in a basement setting. I’m posting the videos completely unedited. Here’s a YouTube playlist of all the videos in this series:
Cycle, from composer Dylan Jones, is a new album of ambient music featuring 16 tracks that total 2 1/2 hours of music. That’s a lot of chill time! Here’s what Jones has to say about the theme of this project:
“The concept of CYCLE is simple: each of the 16 tracks symbolizes an emotional step of a failed relationship, from the moment two people lay eyes on each other to the point where the relationship is over and each person is moving on from the other, to something ultimately better-suited for them.”
The music of Cycle combines Jones’s lush electronic compositions with various solo instrumentalists and vocalists. Here is how Jones describes the process he followed in putting the music together:
I had the pleasure of working with composer Francois Jolin recently, recording vocals parts for a scene from a film he was scoring. Francois was very happy with the result and subsequently asked me to work with his company, Eon Sounds Productions. This time, I provided vocal stems for a track composed by James Griffiths. It was a great experience, not only working with James, but meeting other members of the team as well. It seems like they have a great thing going on and I look forward to potentially working with them again!
